Patagonian Fjords Cruise Aboard the Noctiluca Yacht
Quitralco - San Rafael Glacier Route - 6D/5N

Noctiluca
Itinerary : Prices : Reserve
Experience the unexplored fjords, lakes, and glaciers of the Chilean Patagonia on a unique journey aboard the seasoned yacht “Noctiluca.” With decades of experience traversing the Patagonian waters, the Noctiluca and her crew will guide you on an unforgettable trip through the inside sea passages of the magnificent Guaitecas Archipelago, which was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2008.

The Noctiluca
Constructed between 2005 and 2007, “Noctiluca” is a 57-foot motor yacht named after the luminous plankton that abounds in Patagonian waters. The ship was constructed using a unique Patagonian wood (cipres de las Guaitecas) used for centuries by the maritime chiloe seagoing culture. Blending the traditional artwork of experienced Chiloe boat builders with the latest technology in boat design, safety and interior finishing, Noctiluca offers a cozy wooden interior and comfortable cabins as well as safety and reliability. The ship features two double guest cabins (lower double berth and upper single berth) and a front cabin with four single beds. All sharing two heads (bathrooms) roomy with hot water and showers. The yacht is handled by a skilled crew and captain with decades of experience in Patagonian waters.

Day 1. Private transport will be awaiting you upon your arrival to Balmaceda Airport to drive you to our pier in Puerto Aisén. At 3:00 pm your journey begins. On this first leg of the journey, we will travel 70 nautical miles along the Aisén fjord and Canal Costa. By 10:00pm we will arrive at Puerto Lynch, where we will enjoy dinner.

Day 2. Today, we will navigate 15 nautical miles across the Quitralco fjord to Hacienda Quitralco. A time capsule of the old-time Patagonian gaucho way of life, the 6,000 hectare hacienda features organically-grown vegetables, homemade cheese and butter, a small number of cattle, and the philosophy of living from the land with the minimum impact possible. After a tour of the hacienda and lunch, you will have the opportunity to revel in the pristine natural beauty of the area during an afternoon of fly fishing, horseback riding, and/or hiking. At the end of the day, we’ll enjoy a traditional Patagonian asado (BBQ).

Day 3. Our morning begins with a trip to the Quitralco Thermal Baths At 10:00am, we’ll set sail for the 45 nautical mile journey to Puerto Odger (Near the entrance to the San Rafael Lagoon). Upon our arrival, we’ll have lunch before taking an excursion in zodiak raft to beaches and waterfalls. .
