Your guide will meet you at your Santiago hotel in the morning to head to the beautiful Casablanca Valley, Chile’s mecca for cool-climate viticulture. Your first stop is at Loma Larga Vineyards, named “Winery of the Year 2011” by Wine & Spirits magazine. Loma Larga sets the bar for quality cold-climate red wines with several award winners and consistent 90+ point ratings by such prestigious publications as Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. After a private tasting and tour of the vineyard on foot, you will experience Casablanca from a whole new angle – the air. Climb into a private helicopter for breathtaking aerial views of Casablanca’s vineyards.
You will land in the neighboring San Antonio Valley at the state-of-the-art winemaking facilities of Viña Matetic. Incorporating organic agricultural practices, Matetic both complements its beautiful natural surroundings and optimizes vinification. After your private tour and tasting, you’ll hop on a bike for a 7km ride through the vines to Matetic’s boutique restaurant for a delicious lunch. In the late afternoon, your private transportation awaits to bring you back to your hotel in Santiago.
