Beginner/Intermediate Route

One of the best ways to explore a city is on two wheels, and this fun route showcases some of the best single track cycling in Santiago. Departing from the Santiago Adventures office in Providencia, you’ll ride along the Mapocho River and past the city’s commercial heart until reaching the verdant Bicentennial Park. You’ll pedal through the park’s winding paths, cross the city’s main thoroughfare on a bike bridge, and arrive to the eastern edge of the Metropolitan Park. You’ll partially climb San Cristobal Hill on a gradual incline heading back toward Providencia, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Returning to SA’s office, you’ll enjoy a snack on the patio. More advanced riders can opt for a technical route that leads through Barrio Bellavista to the south entrance of the park and includes steeper climbs and descents over pavement as well as single-track trails.

Advanced Route

This single track route is one of the most entertaining single tracks in Santiago for the more advanced rider. Starting in the elite neighborhood of La Dehesa on the eastern end of Santiago, you’ll begin at the foot of the Andes following narrow trails headed uphill for about one hour. You’ll face some challenging, steep climbs and technical obstacles. You’ll stop along the way for a brief rest and to enjoy the unique flora and fauna in the surrounding area. Then, you can choose from the following options:

-  Continue for an hour to cross a nature sanctuary and then descend on technical single track down a roller coaster-like track with smooth downhill and winding banked turns. (Includes about 30 minutes of pure single track leading downhill.)

- Ride for 45 minutes  and then descend tricky, but smooth single track where you can also connect to the roller-coaster like track or continue down a single track similar to the first part of the trip (About 30 minutes of pure single track going down).
