Traveling through the Maipo Valley, we will visit Isla Negra and the seaside home of Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda. In this home of one of Chile’s most famous writers, you will see the many eclectic collections from his travels throughout the world and tour the favorite of his three homes. We will have lunch at the Café Poet and take some time to explore the seaside property along the beach.
 
         
 
After visiting Isla Negra, we will depart for the rural town of Pomaire. Famous for its distinctive pottery, Pomaire’s streets are filled with potters and their wares. Pomaire provides a glimpse into rural Chilean life.

Isla Negra and Pomaire - Itinerary

This tour is available Tuesday through Sunday. The schedule may vary depending on your desires, but we suggest the following:

9:30 Departure from your hotel.

11:00 Arrival at Isla Negra where we will spend several hours taking a guided tour, strolling around the seaside property and admiring the Chilean crafts available from local artisans. We will enjoy lunch before departing.

2:00 Departure from Isla Negra

3:00 Arrival in Pomaire

4:30 Departure for Santiago

6:00 Arrival at your hotel
