This walking tour takes us through Barrio Brasil and Yungay, two of the oldest neighborhoods in Santiago and made of eclectic European architecture, cobblestone streets and colorfully painted buildings. Your guide, Liz Caskey, is a food and wine journalist who lives in Santiago. Liz will give you a taste of the history of Santiago, strolling down winding streets and through historic plazas, and visiting one of the local farmer’s markets to taste native Chilean fruit and fresh bread and buy ingredients and spices for lunch. After the market, guests return to Liz’s remodeled 1920s loft, where they will be served a three-course gourmet lunch.

The atmosphere is casual, tranquil and elegant, and guests are welcome to join in the cooking if they wish. The dishes showcase the local ingredients with international flavors and cooking techniques, and the cuisine highlights the freshest seasonal produce prepared in a healthy and delicious way. The tour presents a unique way to see, and taste, a different side of Santiago.
