Day 1 – The Casablanca Valley
Your guide will meet you this morning at your Santiago accommodations to depart for the renowned Casablanca and San Antonio wine valleys, situated about 90 minutes outside of the capital city. Your first stop will be to Loma Larga Vineyards. Named “Winery of the Year 2011” by Wine & Spirits magazine, Loma Larga continues to represent the best of the Casablanca Valley. Loma Larga sets the bar for quality cold-climate red wines with several award winners and consistent 90+ point ratings by such prestigious publications as Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
Just a short drive away is Kingston Family Vineyards. Since its first vintage in 2003, Kingston has been turning heads with its small production Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. While coastal Casablanca is known for its white wines, Kingston is pioneering the production of cool-climate, artisan-style reds. Wines from the 300-acre family ranch are handcrafted and bottled on site. Wine Spectator commended Kingston for “bringing diversity and excitement to Chile” and Wine Enthusiast heralded the vineyard as the “Sommeliers’ New Chilean Favorite.”
You’ll then head to nearby restaurant Macerado for a delicious lunch featuring traditional Chilean dishes and local specialties of the Casablanca Valley.
Following your tour and tasting, you’ll drive to the neighboring San Antonio Valley and Viña Casa Marín, where you will settle in for a night in their guesthouse, nestled atop a hill amidst the Sauvignon Blanc vines with incredible views of the vineyard, the town of Lo Abarca, and the Pacific Ocean.

Day 2 – The San Antonio Valley
This morning begins with a delicious home-cooked breakfast in Villa Casa Marín. You’ll next have a tour of the vineyards and winery, accompanied by a tasting of Casa Marín’s distinguished wines. Founded in 2000 by Chile’s first and only female vineyard owner, Maria Luz Marín, Casa Marín has been described as one of the “most daring and innovative” vineyards in the country. Its outstanding wines have received many awards including: Best Sauvignon Blanc in the World (2010), Winery of the Year (2010) by industry association Wines of Chile, and most recently was named among the Top 100 Wineries in the World (2012) by Wine & Spirits magazine. Two of its top wines – Miramar Vineyard Syrah 2010 and Cipreses Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2011 – were named the “best in Chile” by the country’s most prestigious wine publication Descorchados. It is also Chile’s closest vineyard to the coast, situated just 2.5 miles (4km) from the Pacific shoreline.
About 20 minutes away is your next stop at the state-of-the-art winemaking facilities of Matetic Vineyards. The winery incorporates organic agricultural practices and an architecture which optimizes vinification. Grapes are handpicked and carefully examined to ensure only those of highest quality are used in the winemaking process. Wine & Spirits magazine has selected Matetic among its 100 Top Wineries in the World on more than one occasion, and the winery has been called a “great ambassador” for Chilean wine on the world stage. You will enjoy a tour and tasting followed by a delicious lunch at their chic Equilibrio Restaurant, set in lush gardens near the stunning colonial guest house.
In the afternoon, you will be transported back to Santiago.
