Day 2: Full Day Excursion
The Singular offers an extensive catalog of exhilarating activities for guests to suit any interest and level of skill, including bird watching, kayaking, biking, horseback rides, trekking, and boat cruises. We highly recommend a boat cruise to the Patagonian fjords and glaciers Serrano and Balmaceda.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park
Torres del Paine National Park, declared a UNESCO Biosphere reserve in 1978, offers some of the best trekking in South America. Dramatic mountain formations, including the black sediment-topped Cuernos del Paine (Paine horns) and the three jagged “towers” for which the park is named are sure to be some of the most unforgettable sites of any trip. Highlights of your day include Sarmiento Lake, Amarga Lake, the Paine massif, the mighty Salto Grande waterfall, the “Horns of Paine,” and Grey Glacier.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Perito Moreno Glacier
Day 4: Transfer to El Calafate, Argentina
This morning you will depart The Singular and head across the windswept Patagonian steppe, traverse the border with Argentina, and continue over the vast pampas to the town of El Calafate. You will check in to the luxurious Eolo Patagonia’s Spirit hotel, which stands isolated amid the Patagonian wilderness.
Enjoy the afternoon and evening to settle in and explore El Calafate at your own pace. Look to try any of a number of dishes which include the local Calafate berry as an ingredient. If you do, according to legend, you’re sure to return to Patagonia.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5: Full Day Excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier
This morning you set out on your first excursion, to Parque Nacional los Glaciares and the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier, located about 50 miles (80km) outside of El Calafate. One of only three Patagonian glaciers that are actually advancing (as opposed to retreating), Perito Moreno is one of the most spectacular glaciers in all of the southern ice fields. Brilliant blues, stark whites, and aquamarines contrast with the surrounding green forests and dark gray mountains, making for a fascinating landscape one can only find in Patagonia.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Estancia Cristina
Day 6: Full day at Estancia Cristina
Today you will head out from Eolo for a unique experience at Estancia Cristina, founded by British pioneer Joseph Percival Masters, who arrived to the untamed pampas in 1914 in search of a prosperous future raising sheep and livestock. Nearing the Estancia, you will set out in boat for a cruise filled with awe-inspiring scenery, including massive icebergs and an up-close view of the Upsala Glacier not available anywhere else. Your day will also include a journey in 4×4, a trek over glacial terrain, and a privileged view not only of Upsala, but also Lago Guillermo, the Southern Ice Fields, and the Andes Mountains.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7: Departure
As you say goodbye to Patagonia, enjoy a free morning to relax or participate in a half day excursion before private transport takes you to the El Calafate airport for your departing flight. Transportation also available back to Punta Arenas upon request (total travel time approximately 9 hours).
