Looking down over La Parva
The gateway to the Tres Valles is the town of Farellones, Chile’s only slopeside ski village. There are a variety of lodging options here with daily transport to El Colorado and La Parva. Inter-valley lift passes provide access to Tres Valle’s largest resort Valle Nevado.
Santiago Adventures can assist with all your Chile ski vacation needs in the Tres Valles including day skiing from Santiago, transfers to the resorts, guiding in resort accessed backcountry, heli skiing, lodging in El Colorado & Farellones as well as Valle Nevado resort packages.
El Colorado has over 70 ski slopes for beginners, intermediates and experts and with a special ticket you can connect to La Parva and Valle Nevado. El Colorado provides the best access to the well known Santa Theresa chutes. El Colorado has 18 lifts including two doubles chairs, three triples chairs, 12 surface lifts. For more information see the El Colorado Trail Map. We recommend the El Colorado Apart Hotel as the best lodging option in El Colorado.
La Parva includes 24 miles of trails on 30 slopes and with a special ticket riders can connect with Valle Nevado and El Colorado. La Parva has 14 ski lifts including two quads, one triple and one double chair lift as well as 10 surface lifts. La Parva has mostly intermediate and and advanced intermediate terrain but offers access to some of the Tres Valles’ best backcountry. See the La Parva Trail Map for more information. To ski La Parva, we recommend staying in Farellones or visiting La Parva as a ski day tour from Santiago.
Farellones Ski Village was founded in the 1930s as the first ski village in South America. Today is is the gateway to the Tres Valles and home to luxury ski chalets, bed & breakfast style accomodations, small hotels and ski dorms. Farellones is essentially a beginners slope but allows skiers and riders to access El Colorado via the Los Zorros poma making the village a great ski-in / ski-out destination in the Tres Valles. For more information on the ski resort and location see the Farellones Trail Map and the Tres Valles overview. Santiago Adventures is pleased to offer Farellones accomodations including: Posada Farellones – a small hotel and one of the first built in Farellones (it has a great kitchen) and Powderlodge – a bed and breakfast operated by former Chilean snowboard champion Cristian Schindler
