The Resort
The Valle Nevado complex straddles the imposing peak El Plomo, and includes the 5-star Hotel Valle Nevado, the 4-star Hotel Puerta del Sol, and the 3-star Hotel Tres Puntas, and there are 12 restaurants. All-inclusive packages include lodging, 2 meals per day, lift tickets and use of their ammenities such as their gym and outdoor heated pool.Valle Nevado has the largest skiable domain in Chile, and tickets can be purchased to connect to neighboring resorts La Parva and El Colorado. The terrain includes expansive intermediate groomers, and a smaller percentage of steep drops off peaks like Tres Puntos and Cerro Negro.

Hotel Valle Nevado: With 53 comfortable rooms, all with a terrace and direct access to the slopes, Hotel Valle Nevado is the most exclusive luxury accommodation at the resort. All rooms were renovated in 2011 and all have spectacular views of the Andes and the ski slopes. A number of bars and restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk, and the best one – Restaurant La Fourchette (French-Mediterranean fare) – is located within the hotel. Standard half-board includes breakfast, ski après, and dinner, as well as one body massage per person for stays of 7 nights or more. Among many other things, the hotel includes an outdoor heated pool.
Hotel Puerta del Sol
Puerta del Sol: The middle-of-the-road lodging option at the resort. Though it is not quite ski in ski out, it’s only a stone’s throw from the slopes. Some rooms have balconies, and all have incredible views. Half-board includes breakfast and dinner, and guests have access to all of the main hotel’s services, including the gym, heated outdoor pool, day spa (additional costs apply), and restaurants. The hotel is family friendly and wheelchair accessible.
Hotel Tres Puntas
Tres Puntas: Tres Puntas is the budget accommodation at Valle Nevado, and is perfect for groups, budget travelers, families looking for a bargain, and younger skiers and snowboarders. Just a few minutes’ walk from the slopes, the lodge has 91 rooms. Half-board includes breakfast and dinner, and guests can access all of the main hotel’s services, including the gym, heated pool, and restaurants. The hotel also offers the Pub Tres Puntas which has nightly live music, and the contemporary Sur restaurant, with panoramic views of the mountains.
