Day 1 – Casablanca to San Antonio Valley - Total miles 25 We’ll start our ride at the Emilana Winery where they’ll provide a great introduction to the valley and tell us about their fascinating biodynamic farming methods. From here we will mount up and make a 10 mile ride to the Casas del Bosque winery. After a tour of this modern boutique winery you will have front row seats at our gourmet picnic lunch overlooking acres of lush vineyards. In the afternoon we’ll be pedaling the back roads through the San Geronimo Hacienda. Meals: L,D
Day 2 Hidden Back Roads of the San Antonio Valley - Total miles 30 Today we make a beautiful loop around the San Antonio Valley – one of the best rides in Chile’s Central Valley. Our ride will start by passing through the quaint village of Lagunillas where we will turn to the east and make a gentle climb into the foothills of the coastal range. Here we will enter into the private farmlands of the Rosario Valley belonging to the Matetic Winery. This is a fun route with a few miles of dirt roads and the chance to explore the antique winery Coralillo before arriving to the super modern winery of the self-proclaimed “future of Chilean wine!” We’ll stop in at the Matetic winery for a tasting before heading down hill to the end of the valley. A well deserved lunch awaits us in El Sauce a local “picada” restaurant serving traditional Chilean dishes. The costillar de cerdo (baked ribs) are to die for. Meals: B,L
