Part I - Osorno, Antillanca, Puyehue
Days 1-2 Your “Volcanic Ski Trip” will start at the Osorno Volcano (elevation 8700 ft) with an outstanding view over the Llanquihue lake. In the shadow of the volcano, you will warm up in the ski resort and get ready for the skiing days to come.
Days 3-4 You will head to Antillanca ski resort where you will enjoy the slopes and the following days will skin up the Casablanca Volcano (elevation 6530 ft) to ride its crater and flanks.
Days 5-6 We begin our expedition to the Puyehue crater riding horseback to El Caulle Refugio. Once settled in the rustic shelter and depending to daylight, you will skin up to the Puyehue Volcano Crater (elevation 7735 ft and will enjoy sunset over Puyehue Lake before skiing back to the refugio. On day 6 you will skin up Puyehue again to ride its crater and flanks all day long before heading back on horse to the cabin to spend the night there.
Optional Part II - Llaima, Lonquimay
Day 7 In the morning of day 7 you will take the road to Conguillío National Park and Las Araucaria resort at the base of Llaima Volcano (elevation 10255 ft).
Days 8-9 You will ride in between gigantic araucaria trees on Llaima Volcano. On day 9 you will skin up the Llaima volcano, before departing in the afternoon to the town of Malalcahuello.
Days 10-11 You will be skiing the Lonquimay Volcano (elevation 9400 ft) and Corralco ski resort at its base.
Optional Part III - Antuco, Santiago
Days 12-13 You will travel further north on day 12 and ski a half day in Antuco (elevation 9775 ft) ski resort before skinning up the volcano on day 13.
Day 14-15 At this point you will have completed six major volcanoes and it will be time to get back to Santiago where you will spend day 14 between city sightseeing, wine tour and nightlife to celebrate the end of your volcanic ski journey. Day 15 you will depart for home.
