Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your Santiago hotel this morning to depart for your day on the coast. Along your route to the sea, you will stop to follow Charles Darwin’s footsteps with a 45-minute walk at La Campana National Park, hiking through a native Chilean palm forest and admiring the diverse native flora and fauna. Arriving to the coast, you’ll head right to the beach and local seafood market in Maitencillo, before enjoying a delicious lunch. Following your meal, we’ll continue to neighboring Cachagua. You may have the opportunity to spot some penguins from a distance as they relax in a national reserve not far from the coast.
Finally, you’ll arrive to the charming coastal town of Zapallar, where the breathtaking rocky coast and crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean invite a stroll along the winding seaside paths. One of the most popular summer getaways for Chile’s upper class, Zapallar is known for its elegant buildings, beautiful gardens, and magnificent vistas. Enjoy free time to relax or walk on the beach before continuing to Santiago or Valparaiso for your next adventure.
